JoAnne joined us in our home in the weeks following the birth of our second baby. The postpartum experience was so incredibly peaceful compared to my first, thanks to JoAnne sharing her gifts with us. Her intuitive massages helped me transition into the fourth trimester — honestly the best massages I’ve ever had. She prepared soaks for the bath and made delicious food so my husband, toddler, and I were always fed. Even the light housework she did, freed up time for my husband to focus on me and other household tasks while he was on his maternity leave. Having her here in the home felt easy and natural, and often-times just talking to her was a highlight of my day. I’d highly recommend JoAnne to anyone looking for intuitive, experienced care for postpartum days and beyond.

We worked with JoAnne when our second baby was born in 2023. While our baby slept pretty well, she was a very noisy sleeper and my anxiety was so high that I really struggled to “sleep while the baby sleeps”. Knowing she was in good hands all night long really allowed me to relax and get some much needed sleep. JoAnne was very responsive and worked with our scheduling needs, even adding a few extra nights when we realized it would be helpful with my husband's travel schedule. She really went above and beyond to provide compassionate, loving care to our family and we can't say enough good things about our experience. I was a different person on the nights I knew she was coming to give me a physical and mental break!

JoAnne supported me in the postpartum period and I couldn't have been more grateful for her care. She cooked meals, did light housework, and tended to the baby so I could rest and shower. She also provided me with herbs for sitz baths which were wonderful for my recovery! As a massage therapist, JoAnne gave me massages that left me feeling relaxed and helped with my anxiety. I felt supported and cared for and didn't want her to leave! Lastly, JoAnne performed a bone closing ceremony that left me feeling nurtured as well as even closer to my baby. I loved the symbolism that left me feeling more confident to step into my journey of motherhood with a new baby. I couldn't be more thankful for the support that JoAnne provided me during such a vulnerable time of my life.

Joanne came to help my husband and I as an overnight doula when we were new parents, getting little sleep. She is very knowledgeable and helped us learn quite a bit about how we could help make our baby more comfortable at night. She showed us new burping techniques, gas exercises and how to identify what he may need during those countless night wakings. We rested well knowing Joanne cared so much for our little baby.

We were so grateful to have JoAnne help us at night with our baby Luke for six weeks! JoAnne was respectful of our parenting preferences and also guided us in areas we were unsure about as new parents. She has a warm and calming presence and is confident around babies! As an added bonus, she is a great cook and proactive with anything that can be done around the house to make your days easier when you wake up. We miss her!

We had a fantastic experience with JoAnne as a doula for our infant son. JoAnne has years of experience with newborns and young children and quickly earned our trust. She went above and beyond in taking excellent care of our son and providing invaluable support to us as first-time parents. We quickly connected with JoAnne and always enjoyed talking with her. We highly recommend her!

We hired Joanne as our night doula after our second baby was born. As second time parents, we knew just how difficult and draining newborn phase could be, and wanted more support the second time around. At first, I was pretty nervous about having a stranger in my home caring for my newborn. But that feeling quickly disappeared when I got to know Joanne and started getting some sweet, sweet sleep.
Joanne started with us when our daughter was two weeks old, and began with overnight support three nights a week. We would literally count down the moments until she came back and we knew we would get a good night's rest! While she let us sleep from 10 pm - 7am, she did all the night feedings, got our little one back to bed, washed bottles, prepped formula for the next day, did the kids' laundry and folded it, and sometimes even made food for us! She would make a baked oatmeal for breakfast or start crockpot meals for us overnight so dinner for the next day was already prepped! Joanne was kind and warm, she was trustworthy, and SO helpful. She is also very knowledgeable on postpartum care for moms and was always asking me about my mental and physical health; an aspect of childcare that's often overlooked.
When our daughter started sleeping better and only waking once a night, Joanne suggested she switch to day shifts. I wasn't sure how I felt about having someone else in the home while I was still on maternity leave- I initially felt like I should be able to handle days on my own. But at her suggestion, we split to half-shifts during the day and OMG it was awesome. It gave me an actual BREAK where I did housework, or even went out to lunch with friends! A really nice way to end my maternity leave and go back to work! We can't thank Joanne enough for all her support!
